I recently retired after 47 years in media, marketing, and professional coaching. My work taught me a lot about innovation, disruption, and change. But through it all, one thing remained constant: The importance of storytelling. My years in Radio helped me master the art of wordcraft; telling a story in ways that people can see it unfold, using only the theater of their mind. My work with print, digital, and television taught me the value of a strategically-placed photograph or illustration.
Now, I get to play with both words and pictures; not for a paycheck, but for the simple joy of sharing… ideas, images, perspectives, and inspiration. I consider it a gift to sit quietly on a shoreline or walk through the woods. To observe a gray fox hunting for dinner, or a bear cub scurrying up a tree at the command of its mother. It is a privilege to watch the dance between Mother Nature and Father Time; thank you for letting me share it with you here. Like me, my portfolio is a work in progress. So, please check back occasionally and let me know what you think.
Before the “Leave No Trace” movement, we used to say “Take only pictures, and leave only footprints.”
